Words, words, words.....

I haven't read a book in awhile. I was on a huge kick last summer and fall...reading almost 12 books in 6 months time, which for me is realllllllly good! Then the holidays hit. I started a story that just didn't "hook" me and I muddled through it from December to March:/ Horrible, I know. Then Finn came into the picture and well...you know how it is. But enough with the excuses!!!

I've said before that I love the fantasy genre a lot...but I also am a sucker for a good romance <3  Right now I'm finishing up Abraham Lincoln; Vampire Hunter and I've gotta say it's been extremely enjoyable!! Campy? Yes! Kinda ridiculous? Yup! Full of history that I'd forgotten in ohhhh say....the 7th grade? Absolutely:) But the author is very good and has taken a seemingly wacko subject and made it rather believable;)  Look for the movie version from Tim Burton later this summer!

Next up after ol Abe & his vamps will be The Great Gatsby. I've never read it and I've always wanted to. So why not? Plus, this too will be a movie soon with the swoony Leo DiCaprio in it and directed by Moulin Rouge's Baz Luhrman! Fun I say!!!!! After I'm done with Jay Gatsby and Daisy I'll read the sequel to Divergent; Insurgent. Too confusing to explain, but trust me it's really good!

Finally....to round out my current "to read now" list will be The Lucky One and 50 Shades of Gray. Nicholas Sparks may have a million novels out there and is a little bit over-saturated, but I enjoy his stories and this one looks especially poignant.

Now...50 Shades....this one is controversial, to say the least! It's definitely Rated R, more likely NC17. It started out as a Twilight fan-fiction called Master of The Universe. (Yes, I read me some fan fiction...don't judge me) I read some of it, never finished it. But whew! It's steamy!! I mean...really, really steamy. Not one you want to leave open on your kindle if you have kids around, but maybe if the hubby is around it's ok, ya know?! It's purely a no-brainer kinda read. Perfect for the beach...which is about the time-frame I'm looking at for this book....beach days!

Can I get a "hollaaaaaa" Jenn Del Castillo???

So there you have it. What I'm reading right now and what's up to bat next! I'm always looking for great recommendations, so please let me know what you've read recently that was knock-your-socks-off great!!!!
