JKristen Photography: Finn's World of Wonder! {and views of the nest:}

The past 2 weeks have been a whirlwind! And has it really only been two weeks since Finn came into my life?? It honestly feels like I've had him for months! I guess that's a true testament to how he's fit right in around here and made himself entirely at home! In just 2 weeks he's shown so much character and honestly...he's a ding-dong! But I love him, and that's what matter most! He was hesitant the first day to wander around, there's just so much to take on at once. I am not one of those modern, stream-lined decoraters! My life is full of color and sparkle and things. So far he's maneuvering them rather well!!!

Things on the photography front have been quiet this March. But it's starting to ramp up now! Tomorrow I have a special portrait session that I'll sneak peek by the evening sometime! Then next Saturday I have my first engagement session of the season and I'm so excited! It's going to be gorgeous according the the weatherman and we'll be down at the water, so look for some special stuff to hit the blog soon!!

This apartment is the perfect home for a cat really. There is a steep set of stairs which are great for running up and down with the bell-ball thingy at 3:30 in the morning:/And the twinkle lights? Yeah, those are very tempting to a certain kitty.....

We also love jumping on the bed and feet that move around under the covers? Those apparently are monsters that must be slayed with teeth and claws. Yeah. Ouch:/

The bathroom is full of fun things to knock over and bat our paws at. And the sink has become the new "it" place to sleep during the day. Especially when it's a little warmer outside, the ceramic is nice and cool:)

So far the curtains and sheers in the living room and bedroom have gone un-scratched.

I cannot say the same for the strings attached to the mini-blinds. Good gosh we love those to pieces!!!

Many years ago I came across this great find at a goodwill shop. It was a chair that was in such good condition and for $40 I just couldn't pass it up! My Mom was gracious enough to re-upholster this chair and it's stood the test of time rather well over the years. During the last move, something sharp pierced the underside batting and tore a hole in the fabric. Well....that has now created somewhat of a hammock for a certain 6lb cat and this is where he hangs out when he's stalking something or just wants to vanish! I don't have the heart to fix it....

One nice thing about this place, is the set of windows in the front. There's a window in the kitchen that I refer to as the "window of magical light" because it seems to always have warm, direct sunlight streaming in. It's just perfect for lounging, looking at sparkly things or photographing certain items:)
